General Info

Probably the most famous and recognisable of any Greek isle, Santorini is located in the south of the Cyclades island chain. Although most people refer to Santorini as a single island, it is in fact a group of five islands: Thira, Thirassia, Palia Kameni, Nia Kameni and Aspronisi. The islands are the protruding remnants of the caldera of a gigantic underwater volcano and their creation was one of the most cataclysmic events in ancient history. Only Thira and Thirassia are inhabited, with the other islands too active to support permanent communities. Thira (or Fira) is by far the largest island and its capital, also called Thira, is centrally located on the west coast.

Santorini is an island, so the majority of the sports and activities enjoyed by the travelers who visit Santorini are related to the water.  Visitors are reminded that even when the weather is not too hot, the sun can be detrimental.  Sunscreen should always be worn and visitors should make sure to drink enough bottled water to stay hydrated.
One of the most popular sporting activities is sea kayaking.  Visitors can rent all of the required equipment, including kayaks and life preservers, from the agency and can enjoy either full day trips or half day trips.  The preferred rental agency is the G. Argyros Travel Agency.

Culture & History

Enjoy the coast of Santorini, the rim of the caldera and the volcano aboard one of the catamarans, sailing boats or traditional schooners. Semi-private and private excursions will avoid the crowd, but this is not your only choice! If spending half-a-day in the sea, lying under the sun, swimming in volcanic waters, and snorkeling in the Aegean sea is your thing, browse our pages, we guarantee you will find just your type of sea tour. The excursion prices range from 95 to 150 euros per person.
The boats can only accept a limited amount of passengers, allowing them to offer more personalised service and you to feel comfortable. As the weather gets warmer availability is limited, so we suggest booking in advance, especially if you are only staying for a few days in Santorini.
If you are interested in a private excursion, please contact us directly requesting a date and type of cruise and we will find the best suited excursion for you!

Night Life

Going out in the evening in Santorini is like a fairy tale. Twinkling lights over the Caldera and the reflection of the full moon in the dark waters make for a magical atmosphere. Fira heads the nightlife section - many bars and cafes are actually on the caldera, whilst others, as well as the large clubs, are tucked into the quaint cobbled streets weaving through the town. That's not to say that you won't find some great places elsewhere on the island. Oia for example has some classy cafes & bars, Perissa Perivolos, Kamari have beach bars & clubs, some of which stay open to the late hours...
